The Windham Hill Inn

Windham Hill Inn is a historic country inn set on 160 acres in the mountains of West Townshend, Vermont. What began as the Lawrence Farm in the early 1800s became a bed and breakfast in 1982 and, under new ownership in 1993, grew into a property whose restaurant was counted among New England's best regarded. A lightning strike in 2021 damaged the inn's main house; new owners took over in 2022, and the property's barn — now home to eight individually designed guest rooms including the North Loft, Meadowlook, and Taft — reopened in 2023, while restoration of the main house continues. The inn welcomes bridal showers, birthday parties, and weddings across its grounds, with two dedicated event spaces: a 1,000-square-foot conference room that opens onto the property's lawns and gardens, suited to larger gatherings, and The Cottage, a more private, all-inclusive space for smaller celebrations. Guests are hosted by innkeepers Jason, Jonathan, and Mark, whose stated mission is to preserve the grace, quiet, and authenticity of Vermont hospitality while restoring the historic property for future generations.
