Thibodo Park

Thibodo Park and Ranch House is a City of Vista public event facility set on 9.2 acres in the Shadowridge neighborhood of Vista, California. The property traces its origins to 1942, when the Thibodo family established their ranch here; Russell and Margie Thibodo later donated the acreage and Spanish-style homestead to the City, earning induction into the Vista Historical Society Hall of Fame in 1998. The Ranch House is available for a range of private gatherings — weddings, receptions, baby showers, birthday parties, and family reunions. The building's cross-shaped floor plan includes a central hall with a large fireplace that opens to the outdoor area, two wings suited to guest preparation and catering, a back patio for food service setups, and on-site restrooms. The surrounding park offers a duck pond, walking trails, and green spaces that serve as natural backdrops for event photography. Reservations and rental inquiries are handled by the City of Vista Recreation and Community Services Department.
