This Is The Place Heritage Park is a 450-acre state park in Salt Lake City built around Heritage Village, a collection of historically accurate pioneer-era buildings staffed by costumed interpreters. Set against the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, the park offers eleven distinct rental venues, from the 1860s Kimball Home mansion and the pink-cottage Brigham Young Farmhouse to the modern glass-walled Pioneer Center, giving couples and event hosts a range of settings from intimate historic homes to expansive halls. Several spaces are built for outdoor celebration: the Garden Place pairs a mountain-lodge-style interior with an outdoor patio featuring a rock waterfall and fireplace, while the Brigham Young Farmhouse offers a private gazebo and lawn that can host dinner for more than 500 guests. For ceremonies, the historic Pine Valley Chapel provides wooden pews and a chandelier in a classic chapel setting. Beyond weddings, the park hosts receptions, corporate events, and family reunions, with an events team available to help coordinate décor, furnishings, and vendor logistics for each space.
