Tides Folly Beach

Set directly on the sand just minutes from downtown Charleston, Tides Folly Beach brings weddings, celebrations, and unforgettable weekends to the edge of the Atlantic. With oceanfront accommodations, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and the laid-back energy of Folly Beach, Tides offers couples a destination wedding experience that feels effortlessly coastal and entirely their own. From barefoot beach ceremonies and sunset cocktails to rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, receptions, and farewell brunches, our team can help create a full wedding weekend by the sea. Custom catering, flexible event spaces, oceanfront room blocks, and opportunities for more exclusive hotel experiences make it easy to keep your favorite people together from arrival through the final toast. With 5,490 square feet of event space, Tides can host intimate gatherings or celebrations of up to 200 guests. The Shipwatch Ballroom pairs a private setting with sweeping Atlantic views and an adjacent Juliet balcony—perfect for intimate receptions, dinners, and champagne moments overlooking the ocean. The Pavilion Ballroom offers space for seated dinners, dancing, and larger receptions of up to 200 guests and can be divided for more intimate celebrations. For an open-air experience, the patio at Pinky's on the Beach, or the deck at Koko's on the Pier, offer a relaxed, coastal setting steps from the sand, ideal for welcome parties, rehearsal gatherings, cocktail hours, and private celebrations during select seasons. Whether you envision an intimate ceremony in the sand or an entire weekend with family and friends under one roof, Tides combines the beauty of a Folly Beach wedding venue with genuine beachfront hospitality—creating a celebration that feels less like an itinerary and more like a getaway.
