Tonawanda Castle

Tonawanda Castle is a historic 38,000-square-foot event venue in Tonawanda, New York, originally built between 1896 and 1897 as an armory for the 25th Separate Company of the National Guard. Designed by architect Isaac Perry in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, the building features imposing towers, Warsaw blue granite foundations, and deep red masonry brick walls. Listed on both the National and New York State historic registries, the structure has stood on Delaware Street for over a century. The venue's three floors of historic rooms host 35 to 470 guests and support full-service events under one roof — a ceremony space on the second floor, a cocktail lobby, and a grand reception hall. In-house catering is available with customized menus developed by an executive chef, and every event includes a dedicated coordinator who manages the timeline and handles décor placement and setup. Tonawanda Castle accommodates weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, school functions, funeral luncheons, and special celebrations.
