Tsakopoulos Library Galleria

Tsakopoulos Library Galleria opened in 1992 as a distinctive event venue in the heart of downtown Sacramento, four blocks from the California State Capitol. Housed within the Sacramento Central Library, the venue centers on a dramatic five-story atrium engineered to maximize natural and artificial light — towering glass windows and skylights fill the space with a brightness that evokes an outdoor setting while keeping guests comfortable regardless of weather. The main galleria floor hosts evening events ranging from wedding ceremonies and receptions to proms, galas, and government gatherings. Meeting rooms adjacent to the atrium accommodate smaller business functions and can be rented independently or in combination with the main floor. In-house audio/visual equipment, a sound system, and a stage are available on-site, and the venue works with a roster of approved caterers offering menus from casual box lunches to themed specialty cuisine. Conveniently located near light rail and bus lines, and steps from downtown parking, Tsakopoulos Library Galleria draws on its architectural character and central location to serve a broad range of celebrations and professional events.
