Union Bluff Meeting House

Perched on Short Sands Beach in York Beach, Maine, Union Bluff Meeting House has welcomed guests to its oceanfront grounds since 1868. The property combines historic coastal architecture with updated event facilities, offering couples and hosts a setting where the Atlantic serves as a constant backdrop. The Meeting House itself is the centerpiece for receptions, featuring 12-foot ceilings, crown molding, and custom chandeliers — accommodating up to 200 guests. The adjacent Oceanfront Lawn provides a garden-inspired outdoor ceremony setting with a historic arbor, garden seating, and ocean views for up to 200 guests. For smaller gatherings, the Breakwater Room hosts intimate celebrations of up to 50. An indoor alternative can accommodate ceremonies of up to 130 guests when weather calls for it. Customizable catering packages highlight local and seasonal ingredients, and a dedicated events team guides couples through planning from initial booking through the wedding day. On-site lodging with a 20-room hotel block and walking-distance dining round out what the Meeting House offers as a self-contained destination for events.
