Venetian Pool

The Venetian Pool is unlike any other swimming pool in the country. Hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world have visited the City of Coral Gables, and it is still one of the most popular tourist destinations. The pool was built from a coral rock quarry in 1923, and much of the original coral rock was used to border and emphasize the pool. It also has two big medieval lookout towers offering panoramic views of the city. The spring water from an underground aquifer is used to fill the 820,000 gallon pool. The pool is filled and emptied on a daily basis during the spring and summer seasons! The aquifer, of course, isn't the only thing that improves a visitor's experience. There are two waterfalls that provide a scenic backdrop as well as the cave-like grottos which provide a fun experience for swimmers. The Venetian Pool’s beauty is further accentuated by its loggias, porticos, palm trees and signature bridge. It truly is an unforgettable experience! The pool is available during normal operating hours for your child’s birthday celebration and after hours until 10 p.m. for your special event. The pool is also available for still photography, video and motion pictures.
