Virginia Horse Center Foundation

Set on 600 acres in Lexington, Virginia, the Virginia Horse Center is a world-class equestrian facility that also hosts private events, from wedding receptions to corporate gatherings and meetings. Established by the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1985 and now operated by the Virginia Horse Center Foundation, the campus includes nine show rings, eight schooling rings, eight barns, a cross-country course, campgrounds, and the 4,000-seat Anderson Coliseum surrounding the Waldron Arena. The Appomattox Mezzanine, the center's largest special event space, overlooks the Blue Ridge mountains and the Waldron Arena and can accommodate up to 400 guests for wedding receptions, corporate parties, and meetings, with the option to divide into smaller sections. Additional event spaces include the Winners Ring Restaurant's enclosed porch overlooking the Wiley Arena, the Work Horse Café on the coliseum's upper concourse, and the Picnic Pavilion, set above the grounds with sweeping views. Virginia Horse Center Food Services provides full catering for private events, with pricing customized to guest count and rental needs.
