Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art

Virginia MOCA is a contemporary art museum that opened its new, purpose-built home in Virginia Beach following its Grand Opening on April 17, 2026. The museum's inaugural exhibitions include Nina Chanel Abney: The Pursuit of Happiness and Seamless: Art and Design, alongside ARTlab, an interactive gallery, with admission free for Virginia residents. For private events, the Museum offers its Dale Chihuly glass sculpture as a photography backdrop, and the Welcome Plaza in front of the building can be used for an outdoor cocktail hour. A 150-space parking lot is available to guests for the duration of an event, and the Museum's Preferred Vendor List guides planning across vendor categories, including catering.
