The brand traces its roots to a small storefront between two nightclubs in Portland's Old Town, opened in 2003 by Kenneth "Cat Daddy" Pogson and Tres Shannon on a mix of hospitality and showmanship; the shop's inventive, offbeat doughnuts have since drawn national media coverage from outlets including the Travel Channel, Good Morning America, and Food & Wine. At the Austin location, couples can be legally married in ceremonies lasting three to five minutes, complete with a ceremonial circle of sprinkles and blessings from a Spirit Channeler. Packages range from intimate ceremonies for up to 9 guests to Sweet Celebrations for up to 40, and include custom doughnut centerpieces, newlywed dolls made in the couple's likeness, and coffee service. The shop also creates custom wedding doughnut catering for receptions of 10 to 200-plus guests, with all catering orders picked up in-store on the event day.
