Wapiti Woods

Wapiti Woods is a woodland retreat in Pennsylvania's Elk County, set along the Bennett Branch of Sinnemahoning Creek and the Elk Scenic Drive, in the heart of the PA Wilds and the PA Elk Range. The property offers ten guest cabins and a two-story Lodge, together sleeping up to 36 guests, making it a natural gathering point for groups traveling in from across the northeast, mid-west, and mid-Atlantic. Wapiti Woods has hosted small weddings and receptions, reunions, retreats, class trips, and other group gatherings. Local caterers and rental companies can supply tents, chairs, and tables to help groups build out an event on-site, and the property's proximity to area liveries opens the door to group activities like canoe trips and elk tours. Guests gather around shared amenities including a covered pavilion with picnic tables and a charcoal grill, a walking trail along a former railroad bed, and a horseshoe court, while the community "Shanty" offers a lounge, laundry, and games. Five of the cabins include two-person whirlpool tubs facing wood-burning fireplaces, and the Lodge adds a furnished great room, in-floor heating, and a private outdoor firepit.
