Weddings at Falling Waters

Falling Waters Resort is a 22-acre outdoor retreat tucked into the Nantahala River Gorge near Bryson City, North Carolina, approximately 75 miles west of Asheville. Set among Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel with two on-site ponds and a waterfall, the property looks out over Fontana Lake, the Nantahala National Forest, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park — a backdrop that changes character with every season. Weddings here are offered as a full-resort buyout. Couples reserve the entire property — including the yurt village and an Appalachian barn-style group lodge — for two full nights, giving the wedding party a private valley from rehearsal dinner through reception. The resort accommodates up to 200 guests for ceremonies and receptions, with overnight lodging available for up to 60. Catering, chairs, tents, and alcohol are arranged independently, and the resort team provides vendor resources to assist with planning. For guests who want more to do, Falling Waters can coordinate Nantahala River rafting, zipline canopy tours, Jeep tours, and train adventures throughout the weekend.
