Wellsworth Hotel

The Wellsworth Hotel brings more than 160 years of history to its role as a Central Massachusetts event destination. The building once served as headquarters for the American Optical Company — a heritage preserved in the grand marble staircase, original clock tower, and brick facade that define the property's character today. The hotel offers 24,000 square feet of IACC-certified event space, including the Crystal Ballroom, which can host up to 300 guests and divides into three separate rooms for smaller gatherings or breakout sessions. Visions Restaurant, with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a courtyard, provides a setting for rehearsal dinners and private dining, while the hotel's grounds and courtyard offer outdoor ceremony options with the restored historic facade as a backdrop. An on-site wedding planning team, full-service catering, and 203 guest rooms with available group rates make the Wellsworth a natural choice for multi-day celebrations in the Sturbridge area.
