Western Colorado Botanical Gardens

The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens occupies a 15-acre site along the Colorado River in Grand Junction, Colorado, where it has welcomed visitors since its founding in 1994. The property encompasses a diverse range of specialty gardens — including a Cactus Garden, Japanese Garden, Western Heritage Garden, and Children's Secret Garden — alongside a tropical rainforest greenhouse that opened in 1997 and a Butterfly House featuring native butterfly species, koi fish, turtles, and tortoises. The gardens' mission centers on conservation, education, and community, while also offering an aesthetic setting for cultural and private events. Weddings, receptions, and private gatherings can be hosted across the garden grounds, with both indoor and outdoor options available throughout the property. All wedding bookings include use of the on-site library. Outside caterers are welcome, and the staff offers event planning services for an additional fee.
