Western Golf and Country Club

Western Golf & Country Club is a member-owned private country club established in 1926 in Redford, Michigan, and celebrating its centennial in 2026. Nicknamed "The Club of Good Fellowship," the property spans more than 170 acres centered on a championship golf course designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1927 — with tree-lined fairways, subtle greens, and the Rouge River winding through the layout. The course has historically hosted the Michigan Open (1939 and 1951) and the Motor City Open (1956). Following a 2018 fire that destroyed the original clubhouse, the club built a new facility from the ground up, reopening in 2021. The rebuilt clubhouse houses four dining venues and serves as the setting for a private events program covering weddings, showers, golf outings, business events, birthday parties, and holiday gatherings. The club's events team supports planning from first inquiry through event day.
