White Oak caters to all budgets by providing an extensive selection of hors d'oeuvres, cold and hot appetizers, soups, entrées, and carving stations, among other options. White Oak, located near the end of George O'Neal Lane and only 20 minutes from downtown Baton Rouge, offers 22 acres of lush foliage, gardens, and lakes for your special occasion. White Oak's oak-lined drive, majestic Doric columns, thick masonry walls, and grand staircase, all modeled after traditional homes along Louisiana's River Road and built in the 1970s, set the tone for an elegant event. The parlor, with its lovely mantled fireplace, 26-foot ceiling, and three-tiered crystal chandelier, welcomes guests to a memorable evening of soft music, decadent food, and exquisite wines that will linger in the memory long after the festivities have ended. The parlor is located on the first floor of the house. Stylishly furnished with antique and period pieces, the parlor is connected to a private room, which can be used for meetings or as a bridal suite before a wedding ceremony and reception. The elegant grand French ballroom, located adjacent to the foyer and parlor, features black and white marble floors, three crystal chandeliers, and complementary wall sconces to complete the look. Outside, there is a courtyard in the style of New Orleans, complete with a fireplace, decorative fountain, and native Louisiana foliage. In addition to a Spanish-style fountain and three magnificent open-hearth fireplaces for roasting fish or traditional cochon de laits, the expansive outdoor pavilion features a pond and a gazebo. White Oak's kitchen, which is modeled after Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop in New Orleans' historic French Quarter, brings the patio area together. A plethora of wonderful aromas entice guests as they stroll through the vegetable and herb gardens, pepper patch and quaint orchard, as well as along the stone path that leads to the lake.
