William D. Mullins Memorial Center

The William D. Mullins Memorial Center is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, situated on Commonwealth Avenue at the western edge of campus with views of the Hadley Hills and Holyoke Range. The facility opened in January 1993 and was named in honor of state representative William D. Mullins of Ludlow, who first envisioned a major arena for UMass in 1985 and passed away in 1986 before its completion. The arena hosts more than 80 events each year, including concerts, theatrical productions, convocations, commencement ceremonies, cultural events, and conferences. Seating configurations can be arranged for gatherings of 2,000 to 10,500, with close-proximity seating to the stage and professional production capabilities. The complex also includes the Mullins Community Ice Center, a connected recreational ice facility available for skating events and private ice parties. The facility is managed by OVG360, a division of Oak View Group, and is fully ADA accessible.
