Windmill Island Gardens

Windmill Island Gardens is a 36-acre seasonal park in Holland, Michigan, anchored by De Zwaan — the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the United States. Relocated from Vinkel, Noord Brabant in 1964, De Zwaan still turns and grinds grain today, lending the grounds a genuinely historic character that few event venues can match. The gardens accommodate weddings and corporate events from mid-May through September, hosting up to 250 guests. Ceremonies take place at the outdoor Wedding Gazebo, surrounded by manicured flower gardens. Receptions move to the Celebration Pavilion, a covered structure with draped fabric lining and adjustable bay doors that open to the surrounding landscape. Rentals include furniture setup and takedown, white wedding chairs, round tables, an on-site facility attendant, and a one-hour rehearsal. Beer and wine service is permitted on-site through approved beverage providers, and a selection of approved caterers is available.
