Yankee Clipper Inn

The Yankee Clipper Inn is a 1929 Art Deco mansion perched on a rocky oceanfront bluff in Rockport, Massachusetts, 35 miles north of Boston. Built on the former Tuttle Family Estate, the property spans three historic buildings — the main Inn, Quarterdeck House, and the Bulfinch House, a circa-1840 residence attributed to renowned Boston architect Charles Bulfinch, designer of Faneuil Hall and the Massachusetts State House. Over the decades the inn has welcomed distinguished guests including President Kennedy, John Lennon, Paul Newman, and Bette Davis. For weddings and private events, the inn offers an intimate oceanfront setting accommodating 30 to 60 guests. Ceremonies take place beneath the oceanside arbor, with receptions moving to the adjoining patio and banquet facility — all set against sweeping Atlantic views. The Captain's Compass Bar and an oceanfront pool complete the on-site offerings. Arrington's B&B Journal has called it "the best inn on the eastern seaboard," and the property has earned recognition from Boston Magazine, Country Living Magazine, and North Shore Magazine.
