Independent Wedding and Party Coordinator since 1989 Management: - Seamlessly manage and plan weddings with budgets up to $250,000 and up to 600 guests. - Manage contract vendors, review and confirm packages prior to wedding day, and ensure accurate delivery of services and products. - Hire and manage assistants for larger weddings, delegate assignments and ensure flawless execution. - Direct and supervise all event staff and contract personnel including caterers, banquet/hotel staff, decorators, musicians, florists, limousine drivers, clergy, videographers, and photographers. - Supervise and communicate with the chef, banquet captain and catering staff to ensure excellent and timely dinner service. - Provide on-site minute-by-minute coordination of wedding day. Operations: - Create personalized “to-do” lists outlining couple’s responsibilities with estimated completion dates. - Manage set-up of ceremony and reception areas. Ensure that arrangement of chairs, tables, stages, decorations or other equipment is in accordance with client specifications. - Responsible for keeping wedding day activities on schedule while maintaining a seamless flow of events. - Successfully develop on-the-spot operational contingency plans during adverse weather conditions. Logistics: - Preview locations and help with the choosing of venues. - Design a personalized “wedding day” timeline and “day of” checklist to ensure all responsibilities are carried through to completion. - Responsible for placement, display and security of guest book, table cards, candles, wedding favors, programs, gift box, and personal mementos and heirlooms. Client Services: - Arrange and lead initial meetings in order to determine client needs. - Provide exceptional customer service to the client throughout the entire process. - Direct and escort the wedding party and family members through the day’s activities. - Handle any guest medical emergencies or unexpected occurrences in a professional and comprehensive manner. - Answer questions and provide guest direction and crowd management at the ceremony and reception. Finance: - Assist with establishing a working budget and source highly qualified services for wedding. - Distribute final balances and gratuities to vendors.
