Charles, who is better known as DJ Chizzy among his contemporaries, embarked on his musical adventure at a young age and has been pursuing music as a career ever since. He started playing the piano when he was 11 years old, which helped him develop an ear for melodies and harmonies. While he was a young adult, he worked in a recording studio, which allowed him to hone his talents as a DJ. Being in the same room as so many talented musicians while they worked on their recording sessions contributed to his growing awareness of other musical idioms. Charles is a well-versed DJ who is capable of reading any crowd in any setting thanks to his sharp ear for how music and songs are built as well as his broad knowledge of many genres of music spanning the decades. His mixes include all decades, from the 1950s all the way up to the present day, guaranteeing that everyone on the dance floor will hear upbeat music that they are acquainted with and that makes them feel good. Charles has performed as a DJ throughout the Northeast at nightclubs such as Whisky Saigon, West End Johnnies, Storyville, Wonder Bar, Lawn on D, Down Ultra Lounge, Alibi, Murphy's (Salem), Rebel Lounge (Providence), and Whiskey Republic (Providence), just to name a few. This is in addition to his busy schedule of performing at weddings, corporate and private events.
