Clay Blackmore Photography

The illustrious pioneer of the photographic industry is Clay Blackmore. In addition to being admired for creating novel lighting and portrait techniques, he is in high demand as a teacher. Over the course of his 25-year partnership with Monte Zucker, first as an assistant, then as a co-teacher and business partner, Clay carefully honed his photographic, pedagogical, and business skills. Celebrities like Tiger Woods, Forest Whitaker, Jenna Elfman, and Maria Sharapova have been among his patrons. In the photography industry, Clay is a champion of growth and innovation, pushing the limits of storytelling with the newest technological advancements. In addition to being an expert in lighting and creating timeless portraits, Clay was a pioneer in testing and evaluating new equipment for photography and HD-DSLR filmmaking. Clay has worked for Canon for more than 20 years and is a Distinguished Canon Print Master. For his support of photographic education, the Professional Photographers of America presented him with the Tom McDonald Award in 2018. He also works with White House Custom Color (WHCC) and the online photography community Quarencon. He is a member of the elite Cameracraftsmen of America and the Westcott Pro Team. His Rockville, Maryland, studio houses a group of enthusiastic photographers and filmmakers who use the most advanced tools available. Additionally, Clay is involved in his church and neighborhood, giving of his time to support others through photography. He feels that setting an example is the best form of instruction.
