Founded in 1983
Good Gracious Events is an award-winning, woman-owned food, beverage, and hospitality company with more than forty years of experience serving the events industry. Built on a foundation of trust, creativity, and impeccable service, the company is known for transforming gatherings into memorable experiences through thoughtfully crafted food and beverage menus, seamless execution, and genuine hospitality. Founder and CEO Pauline Parry has worked side by side with her daughter, Joanne Purnell, now President, for nearly thirty years. Pauline began her career in the hospitality industry in England, training within the traditions of British hotel and restaurant management. Joanne is a graduate of the California Culinary Institute and later returned to England and Paris to further her hands-on culinary education. Executive Chef Margarita Hernandez has been with the company since its inception. Together with a dedicated culinary team—many of whom have been with the company for twenty years or more—this strong leadership continues to deliver cutting-edge culinary creativity, consistently delighting and retaining a loyal client base. Both Pauline and Joanne are guest speakers and educators in our industry. Pauline was one of the founding members of WIPA (Wedding Industry Professional Association) opening chapters throughout the country. Pauline has two books to her credit Food, Fun, Love – Party Styles and a memoir cookbook called My Culinary Love Story.

We have our own event management and culinary team in-house and will help decide the number of staff needed on-site to create the best dining experience.

Margarita Hernandez
Executive ChefMargarita has been on our team since the day we opened three decades ago. She came to us with very little kitchen experience but had a strong work ethic and desire to be the best. She has a deep penchant for accuracy, technical prowess, and progressive thinking in all things culinary. She’s a compassionate leader and the glue that keeps our team together. Good Gracious! Events wouldn’t be what it is today without Margarita’s leadership and commitment to the highest standards in our kitchen.
