Jackie Chen Design is a Los Angeles based designer & artist specialized in custom event stationary, modern calligraphy, and watercolor. Thank you for being here! Whether you've already known or you've just found me, my name is Jackie Chen, yes you saw & heard correctly — my name looks similar and sounds just like the famous action star Jackie Chan! But unlike him my talents are in the world of art and pretty things, where I bring your beautiful visions into life! I believe my strengths in the world of artistry began at a very young age because my mother, Mama Chen was a middle school art teacher. She encouraged me to have as much artistic freedom as I desired. I was never without art supplies from drawing papers to endless selections of paint and color pencils! Growing up in such a positive, supportive environment where I was able to explore, imagine, and create art at a young age, lead me pursue a career in design and visual communication. I began working in the corporate world and eventually had a gut feeling it was time to branch off on my own! The first time, I helped my brother with his wedding stationaries, I remembered just how much I loved weddings and a light bulb went off that I have found my path! Very soon after, I was preparing for my own wedding, I started following wedding trends, seeking inspirations for the best day ever. Through the process, I decided to advance my calligraphy and watercolor skills because to me, they are just the prettiest combination! Since then it’s been a magical journey with meeting and creating with the most incredible venders (aka friendors!) and couples! On my days off, I am a extroverted introvert, so you can find me at home cuddling with my dog while watching Netflix and when the extroversion calls for it, I would hang out with a small group of my favorite people over a glass of wine. I am also a big foodie! I love all kinds of cuisine! If I had to pick one kind, soupy noodles would have to be my favorite!
