About LeeAnn Dougherty

"Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind." ~Immanuel Kant After graduating from Parsons School of Design and FIT in New York City, LeeAnn Dougherty immersed herself in the advertising world, honing her craft at some of the most celebrated agencies in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. She passionately took on projects that ranged from beauty, fashion, and corporate ads, to cd, book, and logo designs. Having an eye for space and even the smallest details, combined with an elegant, clean and modern esthetic, continues to be the delicately consistent thread that connects all of LeeAnn Dougherty's designs. Utilizing font and design in unexpected ways to create contrast has also been an effective technique for her. For the past 5 years, LeeAnn Dougherty has been the creative director for the luxury publication, Life Refined Magazine, designing, managing, and editing the entirety of its 48 pages cover to cover. Additionally, she has been a design consultant for several top event planners in Chicago. Most recently, LeeAnn work as an independent art director and designer based in Chicago.

FAQs 3

Why do I think two logos are important for a mitzvah?
When designing for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, I often design two logos. It is important to have one logo for anything that advertises the actual mitzvah itself, which is used on the printed materials and then a second logo for the swag that is given away as these items are worn by guests.
Why should I work with you over someone else?
Being the art director on various high profile projects and ad campaigns, with some of the best creatives in the industry, has trained my eye in a way that allows me to turn my clients vision into a finished result that is current, cohesive and beautiful while exceeding their expectations.
What would you say is your favorite thing to design?
I love that I am able to collaborate with my clients and design something different every day, regardless of what that might be. Every logo, event, ad, invitation, etc. has the potential to be unique in it’s own way and that is so exciting to me! I love the creative process from beginning to end!
