Hi! Welcome to the PartySlate home of the Left Coast Quintet, or LCQ for short. We are a live music ensemble that adds the perfect ambiance and makes your event or wedding a unique, fun day. We have had the absolute pleasure of providing musical accompaniment to celebrations all over Southern California, and are comfortable on the beach, atop a skyscraper, in a grand ballroom, at a place of worship, or in the park - our unplugged ensemble is ready to travel and create amazing an atmosphere. Most people think of only hiring a string quartet to provide live event music, but we don't typically work with "normal" clients - we are hired by clients looking for something different yet still amazing, personal, and elevating. Wind quintets are a pretty common classical ensemble, and have been around since the 1700s, so we know a thing or two about Baroque and classical music - but our library of over 700 custom arrangements has a wide variety of options, everything from jazz, swing, ragtime, Broadway favorites, and our personal favorite - film and movie music. Basically if you can dream of a piece of music for your wedding, cocktail hour, corporate event, holiday party, or for a reception, we can make it happen. LCQ also does offer a wind trio and duet for those with smaller locations or working with a limited budget - we think everyone should have some live music entertainment, so we will work with you on budgets. We pride ourselves on being hassle free, easy to work with, and great communicators, so please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss what we can do to make your music dreams come true.

- Can I work with you to customize a playlist?
- Of course! We have over 700 songs in our library so you'll probably find music you'll love to hear already, and we can take all of your recommendations for to create our set. We can also custom arrange music as desired if we don't already have it!
- How would you describe your entertaining style?
- We are a really fun and unique group - we love to find arrangements of music that fit the theme of the event we are playing at. Typically you'll find us going through movie themes, jazz, some classical, things that bring a smile to guests faces. We are always happy to chat and interact too!
- How many musicians and vocalists are in your band?
- We are a traditional quintet, so there are five musicians: clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, and French horn. We also do a trio or duet when requested, and we can expand to a larger ensemble too for certain events!
- Is someone available to act as the emcee?
- Yes we can! We've done events where the quintet has played and emcee'd events, we are an organized group and it is easy to create a plan for the evening and direct guests where to go or talk about what's happening.
- Do you take song requests from guests?
- Depends on what our client wants. If we are asked to be interactive we are happy to chat with guests and play things that they would request, but we are also happy to stick with a pre-planned set list.
