She obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She later went on to work for various large corporations, where her skills aided in the expansion of their marketing and event departments. She was able to utilize her inherent skills and become the businesswoman she is today as a result of her dedication and hard work. Soraya accomplished her ambition and launched SYB Event Planning in 2014, after seven years as a corporate and general event planner. Soraya has blended traditions in a fresh, new way because of her strong Middle Eastern ancestry and American upbringing. Her ability to turn ordinary event themes into remarkable moments has earned her a reputation as a recognized event planner in New England. She has won multiple wedding planning prizes through famous wedding websites, and her efforts have been highlighted in publications such as The Harvard Gazette, The Harvard Crimson, Harvard Scholars, New Hampshire Homes, The Swellesley Report, and others. Soraya maintains a high level of professionalism while remaining personable and outgoing, ensuring that each event is exciting. She is currently one of the few event planners in New England who specializes in ethnic event planning and strives to tailor each event to the demands and style of the guests. Her love of cuisine and travel fuels her ambition to provide each of her clients with unique and authentic experiences. She is enthusiastic, enjoys adventure, and has unshakable relationships with her friends and family, including her favorite little helper, Cocoa, her beloved Dachshund.
