The Plantation Catering

Located at 6600 Fannin Street, across from the Texas Medical Center, the Plantation opened its doors on June 8, 1981, and has been in operation ever since. Tropical Storm Allison flooded the Medical Center on June 8, 2001, exactly twenty years ago to the day. The restaurant and catering company was completely destroyed. During that summer, the Plantation Catering continued to operate out of a rented school cafeteria until the company's current location at 3147 West Holcombe was completed. Manager and partner Antonio Marquines has established numerous customer relationships during his 28-year tenure with the company, and if you meet him, you will understand what it means to provide true customer service and likeability. Founder and founding partner Ron Langhamer has relocated to La Grange, Texas, and is only doing limited work for the catering company at this time. Providing delicious high quality prepared foods with fast and friendly service at a reasonable price has been a successful formula for us for nearly 35 years, and we remain committed to that philosophy and mission statement today as well. Various cuisines are served daily, ranging from light snacks to elaborate banquet catering. Our menu includes everything from light snacks to exquisite banquet catering. During the 1980s and 1990s, The Plantation Catering primarily catered Medical Center functions, such as meetings, parties, and luncheons, among other things. After relocating to our new location, our catering clientele has expanded to include many different industries throughout the Greater Houston area and beyond, as well as clients from a variety of different business sectors and backgrounds. The Plantation Catering has also enjoyed providing delectable foods for private functions such as parties, celebrations, weddings, quinceaneras, and pretty much any other type of event where delicious food is sought after.
