Hi, I’m Tamara! It’s wonderful to meet you! I’m a twenty-something girl with big dreams. I specialize in wedding photography and portraits for couples in love and growing families. I live in Crystal Lake, Illinois with my best friend-slash-fiancé, Tony, our mini goldendoodle Winnie, and our adopted pup Roo. On a typical couch night, you can find us all watching a movie and eating Yumz—a hopeless addiction of mine. I’m obsessed with peonies because they remind me of spring and romance. I’m a dabbler in DIY projects around the house—another hopeless addiction. I grew up in a small town in Illinois, and was constantly grabbing my mom’s camera from the cabinet. I would use up her film by taking photos of everyone and everything around me. When it was time to choose a major and move on to college, I thought getting a degree in business would be the best choice. But I quickly found myself spending more time in the studio and darkroom than studying for exams. I decided to follow my dreams and attend art school in hopes of becoming a professional photographer. It wasn’t until my internship with a wonderful friend and mentor at a local studio that I realized my love for photographing weddings, couples in love and growing families.
