Legion Park is Woodburn's oldest park, spread across nearly 16 acres at the edge of a densely wooded Douglas Fir grove along Mill Creek. The site is also archaeologically significant, with excavations along the creek's western bank having uncovered Pleistocene-era artifacts. The park combines a full-sized turf soccer field and covered stadium seating with a picnic pavilion, grass playfields, a playground, a 9-hole disc golf course, and basketball, pickleball, and futsal courts, making it a flexible backdrop for both large community gatherings and smaller private celebrations. The picnic shelter includes electricity and can be reserved for parties, receptions, and ceremonies through the City of Woodburn's Recreation and Parks Department. With its mix of open lawns, mature tree cover, and dedicated event infrastructure, Legion Park suits everything from casual picnics and youth sports tournaments to outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Native wood and stone construction frames wide windows facing the Chetco River and the Pacific Ocean, setting each ceremony against a wooded, coastal backdrop. The chapel was donated to the City of Brookings in 2009 by Elmo Williams as a memorial to his wife, Lorraine, and was designed by architects Maurice Jennings and David McKee, associates of the noted architect E. Fay Jones. Its soaring wood-beam ceiling and stone half-walls carry that architectural pedigree into a small, quiet space suited to close-knit gatherings. Capella By The Sea seats up to 40 guests on fixed benches, with a maximum occupancy of 49. It rents by the hour year-round, with a two-hour minimum, and outside of rented events is open to the public seasonally for visitors to view the chapel and its setting.

The University Club of Portland traces its roots to 1898, when a group of college alumni founded the club in downtown Portland. Its permanent home, designed by the architectural firm Whidden & Lewis, opened in 1913 and remains the club's clubhouse today, with elegant gathering rooms, rich woodwork, and a dedicated library. That historic Tudor-style clubhouse now serves as a downtown Portland venue for weddings and private events, with a Ballroom, Gold Room, Library, Lobby, and Lounge among the rooms available for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and celebrations. Couples can also arrange a full Clubhouse buyout, reserving every room for exclusive use throughout the day. Wedding catering draws on seasonal ingredients and local partnerships, with menus built around the couple's preferences. Beyond weddings, the Club hosts corporate events, holiday parties, meetings, and retreats, supported by full A/V capabilities including microphones, projectors, streaming, and a Meeting Owl conference camera. The clubhouse pairs its historic character with modern event support, from board meetings in dedicated meeting rooms to galas in the Ballroom.
