Above the Mist Weddings hosts Christian ceremonies across several scenic locations in the Arts & Crafts Community of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, led by Reverend Ownby and his team. Ceremonies are personalized and scripture-based unless couples prefer otherwise, run more like an intimate conversation than a formal sermon, and are built around each couple's own story. Among its ceremony settings is a wooden gazebo surrounded by seasonal flowers and greenery, with a waterfall on the grounds — an intimate spot designed for couples eloping or marrying without a guest list to manage. Gazebo ceremony packages include a minister and can be paired with a photographer for an online gallery and printed photos. Above the Mist also offers Mountain View, Event Center, Riverside, and Vineyard & Barn ceremony locations, with packages that scale from couple-only elopements to full receptions for larger guest counts. The company was named Best of 2014 in Gatlinburg by the Gatlinburg Awards Program.

Restored in 2016, it now operates as an enclosed, weather-proof event space with an adjoining covered courtyard, making it a fitting setting for intimate weddings, songwriter nights, and private gatherings that carry the property's musical history forward. Both locations include on-site audio setup run by venue staff, rental furnishings such as tables, chairs, and benches, and the option to add event tents for outdoor weather contingency.
