A Brief History of the Rose Chapel and Southside Preservation Hall The former Central Methodist Church, built in 1911 at 1519 Lipscomb St., was formerly the spiritual home of many notable Fort Worth families around the turn of the century. The building has been threatened with demolition multiple times since the congregation relocated in 1969. The Panther Boys Club, a civic organization, purchased the facility in 1972 and transformed the church facilities into a gymnasium, boxing ring, and adolescent dance area. The chapel was not in use at the time. The property was then spared from demolition by the Southside Preservation Association, which was founded in 1996 by a determined group of preservationists. The Association, which is run entirely by volunteers and is a non profit organization, works to repair the facility's buildings and grounds, winning multiple community honors in the process. The magnificent, restored Rose Chapel, named after the Flower of Love, is always booked. The Southside Preservation Hall's adjoining rooms accommodate a diverse range of events, from corporate parties and wedding receptions to dances, classes, and performances that reflect the metroplex's diversity. The proceeds from these activities will go toward the property's continuing restoration and care in order to maintain its legacy.

  Hideout on the Horseshoe sits directly on the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country outside New Braunfels, with river and hill-country views that carry through into ceremony photos. Ceremonies take place riverside with the Guadalupe River as a backdrop, and receptions move to an outdoor covered pavilion, where a breeze off the water and surrounding hills carries through the celebration. The property includes nineteen guest cabins, accommodating up to 108 overnight guests, so a couple's nearest and dearest can stay on site for the wedding weekend. Full-facility rental packages give couples exclusive use of the property, with guest counts ranging from smaller gatherings of around 50 up to larger celebrations of up to 250 guests. Weekend packages include a Friday check-in through Sunday check-out, with rehearsal and rehearsal dinner space available on site, while single-day weekday packages run Sunday through Thursday. From March through October, a complimentary tubing package with private transportation is included, weather and river levels permitting.

Their facilities include an elegant bridal suite and groom's room that may be created and furnished to match the theme of your wedding day celebration. Couples can hold their wedding ceremonies in a lovely garden area, which is perfect for outdoor parties. GET THE ROOMS READY WI-FI access in the Bridal Suite and Grooms Room is included in your reservation. Utilize our high-speed internet to broadcast videos or music throughout your event. RENTALS FOR EVENTS Audio equipment, chairs, furniture, lighting, tables, linens, and other items are available from us. VENDORS FROM THE OUTSIDE Because we do not provide on-site lodgings, we encourage you to use the catering provider of your choice. SET-UP AND CLEAN-UP WORK For your wedding reception, the Crystal Oaks Events personnel can assist you with the setup and/or cleanup of the event space. LGBTQ-FRIENDLY We accept all types of ceremonies, including civil unions, same-sex weddings, religious rituals, and other types of ceremonies as well. The newly renovated interior includes a large ballroom, a luxurious bridal suite, and a luxurious groom's suite. Our 8,000 square foot Ballroom, located in historic Downtown Lewisville, can comfortably accommodate events of up to 350 of your guests. This enormous structure features wrought iron doors, hardwood floors, stunning crystal chandeliers, and ancient ceiling tiles in the entry way. The newly remodeled Bridal Suite features an eight foot cosmetic mirror, dress hangers, and an ensuite bathroom, allowing your group to get ready in solitude. For events of any size, our full size kitchen and built in granite bar make food and drink serving a breeze. The Rooftop INTIMATE FEEL. OPEN AIR. Up to 60 people can be accommodated on the Rooftop, which is largely open air and overlooks historic Downtown Lewisville. This location, which includes a wood burning fireplace, outdoor lounge furniture, umbrellas, and a wet bar, is ideal for a small ceremony, rehearsal dinner, or private supper. ​The Event Packages We provide a choice of options so that we may customize our services to the specific needs of each event.
