Che Fico is an Italian Taverna in San Francisco’s Nopa neighborhood. It’s a place to gather with friends and enjoy warm hospitality, food and drink, through an approachable menu and convivial ambiance. The food focuses on Italian cuisine through the lens of California. It’s our vision of Northern California as if it is a region in Italy, our connection to the region and our love for Italian culinary practices. The rustic, market-driven menu features handmade pasta, pizzas, antipasti, housemade salumi, meat and fish plus dishes from the Jewish-Roman heritage known as “Cucina Ebraica.” The restaurant itself inhabits a building with over 100 years of history in San Francisco and was originally built as a stable after the great fire in 1906 and before our takeover of the space, an auto body shop. Thank you in advance for considering Che Fico for your special occasion. We are pleased to present you with our private and group dining options.

Standing beneath marble columns, ornately gilded balconies and an elaborate frescoed ceiling, it’s easy to imagine this building’s allure when it first came on the scene as a flashy French restaurant and San Francisco’s grandest nightclub. Opening in 1907 on the heels of the great earth- quake, the 5,000-square- foot concert hall symbolized the city’s renewed optimism. The popular club flourished for a quarter century in this incarnation, then became the Music Box, where Sally Rand performed her famous fan dances. In 1972 it was reborn as the Great American Music Hall. For more than 25 years the hall has showcased the talents of music and comedy greats such as Prince, Ray Charles, Jay Leno, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams. Its intimate setting and wonderful acoustics continue to make it a favorite of music lovers throughout the Bay Area. In addition to countless concerts, the Hall has hosted corporate bashes, fundraisers, holiday parties, product launches and weddings.
