ABOUT OUR HISTORIC BUILDING In the mid-1940's, a group of civic minded citizens came together to make Dorothy Jackson’s dream come to fruition: to make Middleburg the social hub of Loudoun and Fauquier County. Over the years, the center has hosted the Kennedy's, Elizabeth Taylor, and Hank Williams, just to name a few. The residents of Middleburg have fostered a pristine public space for everybody to enjoy. OUR VENUE From intimate gatherings in the loft, to grand galas in the ballroom, the indoor facility can accommodate up to 320 people in the full venue depending on layout. Our facilities offer an elegant space featuring 24" soaring ceilings in the Grand Ballroom, 12,000+ square feet of facility space, private gardens and grounds, and elegant architecture that serves as a timeless backdrop to your core memories. The interior, designed by Hapstak Demetrios, provides a warm, modern feel with 15-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and inviting booth seating. The wood-burning oven is a central component to the open-concept kitchen, nestled under a sweeping hull-like wood panel, and accented with vibrant red tiles. The private dining room features a ‘hidden’ screen for presentations, a built-in wine rack, and flexible seating arrangements. Original art features Ada, her father, the poet Lord Byron, and other figures such as Jane Austen, Mary Shelley, and Emily and Charlotte Bronte. For a buyout, the restaurant can host 150 guests for a standing cocktail reception, with 125 seated indoors at dining tables, bar stools, and high tops, including a private 30-seat dining room, plus their outdoor patio, which seats 100. Some booths in the dining room can be removed to provide a more open floorplan for a cocktail reception. For a smaller group, the private dining room at Ada's provides an intimate space for up to 30 seated or 40 standing guests. The room is fully enclosed with a door for privacy, and features a wall-mounted tv that can be used to display a slideshow or artwork. THE COMPASS ROSE ROOM The Compass Rose Room is the ideal setting for your winery wedding reception or rehearsal dinner in Virginia. It's a wide, open area with high ceilings, exquisite lighting, and double French doors leading to the covered Patio, which can seat up to 110 people. The atmosphere is traditionally rustic. Your guests will enjoy being in the center of a boutique Virginia winery, in addition to being a great wedding location in Northern Virginia. Shiloh Manor was once a part of a vast land grant owned by Lord William Fairfax, and it is now a private residence. The property, which has been in the family for generations, has played an important role in the history of Loudoun County, supplying goods to the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, hosting encampments of both the northern and southern armies during the Civil War, and today serving as an elegant and historic setting for weddings and other special events. Located just north of Purcellville, Shiloh Manor has a seating capacity of 100 people and is easily accessible. Our facility's 25-foot-high ceiling, numerous windows, recessed ceiling lighting, and brass chandeliers all contribute to the creation of a bright and airy environment that is fully air-conditioned and heated. A seamless and outstandingly memorable experience for you and your guests is our goal. We have three restrooms, a private bride's suite (with private restroom), professional catering kitchen, musicians loft, and excellent acoustics to accomplish this. It opens through double doors to a well-lit 35'x25' raised patio with travertine floors and a beautiful and unusual stone quatrefoil railing, which is ideal for dancing under the stars. The barn has a total of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. We also have a nearby domed stone gazebo for wedding vows, as well as a large tent-friendly area adjacent to our vineyard for larger gatherings. In addition, we can provide the groom and his groomsmen with a 250-year-old spring house that has been renovated and is fully air conditioned.
