Willemina Ogterop (1881-1974), the first woman stained-glass artist west of the Mississippi to be inducted into the Stained Glass Artists Guild, designed the remarkable stained-glass windows. Ogterop was a multiculturalist who was involved in a number of peace and humanitarian groups and believed that everyone should practice compassion, which is a philosophy that many SF couples adhere to.
