  Home to rebellious classic cocktails and Chef Matt Troost's unusual bar cuisine, the bar is housed in what was formerly a turn-of-the-century tailor store with a décor that pays homage to the early days of punk music. No-frills, low-fi neighborhood tavern where everyone is welcome to come as they are and eat, drink, and have a good time in the process. As part of a redevelopment of an old tailor shop from the turn of the twentieth century, the bar offers original versions of classic cocktails made by beverage director Kristina Magro, which are served with chef Matt Troost's cult-inducing, varied bar cuisine. Good Measure was selected one of the 33 Best Bars in Chicago by Conde Nast Traveler in 2019, and it was also awarded one of Chicago's Best Burgers by the Chicago Tribune the same year and again in 2021, according to the publication. Nellie's Band Room The Band Room, or main performance room, is our largest event venue, with a stage area and a large bar on the first floor. The Mezzanine The Mezzanine on the second floor gives a beautiful view of the show as well as a separate bar with access to the rooftop.   The Boathouse, located on the banks of Lake Ellyn in west suburban Glen Ellyn, is the ideal location for your next corporate or social occasion. This adaptable room can sit up to 120 people comfortably, or up to 150 people without tables. When hiring the Boathouse, you can also hire the adjacent patio and deck (for an extra price). The Lake Ellyn Boathouse is entirely accessible to those with disabilities; contact for more info on specific accommodations. From the beginning of March to the middle of December, the Boathouse is available for rent seven days a week. The Boathouse can be reserved up to a year ahead of time. Andy worked as a carpenter's assistant in the heart of Milwaukee (Brew City) during the summers. He and his boss, Jim, would unload their work truck and crack open one of Jim's home brews after a long day's labor. Andy was smitten. He studied up and began brewing his own beer at home after visiting a local home brew business. Andy joined the Marine Corps after college and flew reconnaissance drones while his homebrew gear gathered dust. Andy saw the rise of craft beer while training on the west coast. He drank it down, amazed at the variety of beers and breweries along the coast. Craft beer was nearly non-existent back in Chicago, he realized.
