YMCA Camp Pinewood sits on 200 acres of wooded land in Twin Lake, Michigan, on the shore of Echo Lake at the edge of the Manistee National Forest. The camp hosts a range of private events alongside its family and youth programs — weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, and milestone celebrations. Butler Lodge anchors the property as the primary gathering and dining space, with a hall that seats up to 160 guests at round tables. An outdoor patio with picnic tables and direct views of Echo Lake extends the gathering space into the surrounding landscape. For ceremonies, the grounds offer a lakefront amphitheater and an open meadow. On-site cabin accommodations allow guests to stay across the full weekend without leaving the property. The camp's activity programming — archery, a zipline and high ropes course, boating, and waterfront access on Echo Lake — is available to event groups, giving celebrations a range that a conventional reception hall can't offer. Wireless internet is available in Butler Lodge.

Kalamazoo Nature Center is a 1,100-acre nonprofit nature preserve and environmental education campus set in the wooded, rolling countryside five miles north of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Founded in 1960 to protect Cooper's Glen — a site of centuries-old cultural significance where Native Americans camped and early settlers built homes — it is one of the earliest nature centers established in the United States, recognized by peers as among the top facilities of its kind nationally. For private events, the center offers a varied collection of indoor and outdoor rental spaces suited to everything from intimate meetings to large celebrations. The timber-framed Barn welcomes up to 150 guests at tables or 200 in rows, while Cooper's Glen Auditorium, the Glen Vista Gallery, and the adjacent Vista Deck — cantilevered into the Beech-Maple forest canopy — together serve gatherings of 80 to 250 guests. Outdoors, the Hummingbird/Butterfly Garden and natural Amphitheater each hold up to 250 guests, and several smaller rooms accommodate meetings, workshops, and private parties.
