Started in 2014 by Tim and Michelle Borland and their three kids, the Bar SZ Ranch is a true family business with a mission to help others “forge their legacy.” Set on 2200 acres in its own valley with iconic California oak trees and golden hills; views of the surrounding mountains and Pinnacles National Park; and painted, sunlit skies, the Bar SZ Ranch offers a unique backdrop for any size wedding, corporate retreat, or private event. We’re pleased to offer one wedding package that has become a favorite of couples over the years. This package includes 3 nights on the property with overnight accommodations for 40 or more in our Ranch House, Log Cabin, and glamping tents (we recommend booking additional glamping tents through Shelter Co. or Anywhere Outpost if more overnight guests are expected). We’ve hosted weddings with guest counts of 500 and are looking forward to making your weekend great. We also offer 12-hour, 24-hour, and multi-day event packages. Each package includes our Ranch House and our Cowboy Village Event Space with the option to add on additional accommodations.

Forbidden Root, the first botanical brewery in Chicago, was founded as a passionately personal project by Robert Finkel after leaving the world of high-stakes entrepreneurship. His idea to create a true-brewed root beer quickly grew to encompass the broader idea of botanic beers. On February 18, 2016, our restaurant and brewery opened in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. More than just a brewpub, we offer fresh and seasonal dishes that highlight our craft beers and elevate the overall dining experience. Built in 1906, The Huron Substation is a stunning historical landmark originally used to serve downtown’s Yellow Car streetcar system. A fire the building survived in the 1980s left a stunning black patina across the historic brick walls. An open staircase leads up to a 1,500-square-foot mezzanine above the main level. This small space, located in the Evergreen Historic District of Midtown Memphis, TN, is just a short drive from Crosstown Concourse and The Memphis Zoo, and next door to the restaurant Ecco. It has a modern rounded design with exposed brick, wooden rafters, and custom art installations by local creators. The space boasts excellent acoustics, a sound system, and a projector. We also have a piano available for performances and recitals. We also offer free wifi access, a full kitchen, round tables, plenty of chairs, drip and single-serving coffee makers, multi-stall bathrooms, and a 2-section nursery that can be used for childcare, breakout sessions, and more.
