The Old Gin

A lovely gem can be found on the inside. In addition to the Courtyard, there is a Gin with a Stage and a magnificent chandelier, as well as an Outdoor Space. The Old Gin can accommodate a wide range of events! Because the interior is a blank canvas, you may design your event exactly how you want it! The Point Venue Performance and Event Center is located on Highway 69, between Interstates I30 and I20, in the heart of downtown Point Pleasant. Previously, it had been converted from a working "Cotton Mill" into a "Theatre." The Caswell House is a limestone mansion built circa 1899 in downtown Austin, one of three neighboring houses designed by architect A.O. Watson in a mix of Gothic, Chateauesque, and Renaissance styles. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Texas Historic Landmark, the house sits at the corner of 15th Street and West Avenue and is owned and operated by the Austin Junior Forum, a nonprofit whose rental proceeds fund community grants. The two-story house hosts weddings, receptions, luncheons, fundraisers, and recitals across its courtyard, balcony, and indoor spaces. A Steinway piano sits in the second-floor turret, and the balcony overlooks the Texas Capitol and downtown skyline.
