Later, I made my way into the New York City restaurant industry, where I worked as a pastry chef at the Russian Tea Room. I was awarded two gold medals by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique's Salon of Culinary Art for my work in the kitchen. Having worked at places such as the Glen Oaks Country Club, City Hall, La Grenouille, and Gascogne Bistro, I decided to branch out and open my own restaurant on Staten Island in 2007. Over the course of seven years, the Alor Cafe has evolved into a fine dining and music venue. Today, I am the proud father of three children, and I live in Brooklyn with my wife. As a business owner, I take pleasure in giving back to my community. I also appreciate that Staten Island's accessibility allows for affordable ownership while still remaining connected to the city's energy. I recently ended my relationship with my long-term partner, but I'm ready to move on to the next phase. My current project is the "Better Burger" Project for the Chefs of America Foundation, on which I am currently working as a member. I've taken on this responsibility with the goal of demonstrating to the Staten Island community that eating healthy, sustainable foods is a wise choice and that this is the direction in which the restaurant market is moving.

  Kelli Connell's twenty-year study with one model is an introspective examination of sexuality and gender roles in intimate relationships that form self-identity. The project investigates identity polarities such as the masculine and feminine psyche, the irrational and rational self, the outward and interior self, and the motivated and resigned self. Body language and clothes define the dualities of the person by mixing several photographic negatives of the same model in each image. The significance of these photos rests in their portrayal of internal conflicts as an outward object: a photograph. The spectator is presented with "constructed realities" through these pictures.   The Powelton Club is a private country club established in 1882 in Balmville, New York, set on a 100-acre property overlooking the Hudson River and the Hudson Highlands, approximately 50 miles north of New York City. Founded as the Powelton Lawn Tennis Club and a charter member of the United States Lawn Tennis Association, the club has been welcoming members and their guests for more than 140 years. The current clubhouse — a red brick building designed by Francis Abreu and completed in 1930 — serves as the setting for weddings, private celebrations, corporate gatherings, and nonprofit events. The club hosts one wedding per day, and all events are available to members and member-sponsored clients. Wedding packages include on-site planning with a certified wedding planner, a day-of coordinator, a bridal suite, champagne toast service, a dance floor, and full table service with china, glassware, and linens. The property also features an 18-hole golf course designed by Devereaux Emmet, five American red clay tennis courts, and a swimming pool.

  Liberty Hall Museum occupies 23 acres in Union, New Jersey, on the grounds of a Georgian-style residence built in 1772 by William Livingston — New Jersey's first elected governor and a signer of the United States Constitution. Over seven generations of the Livingston and Kean families, the original 14-room home grew into a 50-room Victorian mansion that now houses collections of antique furniture, decorative arts, and clothing spanning more than 250 years of American history. The estate hosts private events from May through October, welcoming up to 150 guests for weddings, conferences, workshops, and celebrations. Its formal English parterre garden and maze, fragrant rose garden, historic herb garden, apple orchard, and 12-acre ArbNet-recognized arboretum provide a setting shaped by centuries of garden design. An 1882 Carriage House and a tented reception area alongside the gardens offer distinct settings for ceremonies and receptions. Wedding guests are invited to explore the mansion's historic rooms through guided tours while festivities are underway.
