Millwick has remade itself as a one-of-a-kind stand-alone super-loft open to live concerts, private events, outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions, exhibitions, and productions. It was originally built as a livery and subsequently utilized as a cold-storage warehouse. It has a 7,000-square-foot floor plan (4,500-square-foot interior + 2,500-square-foot garden courtyard) that seamlessly blends interior and exterior spaces. Millwick is a fantastic event and wedding location that can accommodate up to 175 guests for live performances, ceremonies, and receptions. Millwick is conveniently located in the center of the Arts District in downtown Los Angeles, close to many of the city's top new and old hotels, restaurants, and nightlife. Millwick's calm urban sanctuary, a courtyard encircled by mature trees, drought tolerant planting, 20ft brick walls, and lush vertical gardens, is revealed through a discreet, modest garden entry that leads guests down a winding exposed aggregate path. Two enormous glass roll-up doors connect this outside garden to the grand hall. The courtyard is illuminated by energy-efficient lights and the stars of Los Angeles at night. Millwick's Grand Hall runs adjacent to its Garden Courtyard and is reached by two colossal glass rollup doors. Parts of the inside floors have been removed and replaced with unique specimens, creating an urban jungle feel. Soaring wooden bowstring truss ceilings frame nine huge skylights that hover 20 feet aloft. The exposed brick walls' 80-year-old patina has been kept, and it complements Tony Brown's series of wholly unique, hand-made gold ceramic tile walls. Millwick boasts a 25-foot digital cinema screen, as well as a hidden sound system, central mixing booth, and lighting system, all of which are perfect for live performances, film screenings, wrap parties, DJs, VJs, and ambient backgrounds.
