Our 360-degree approach to public education provides an opportunity to reverse systematic injustice and make education a place where everyone wins by focusing on equity and using STEM as a tool for social change. Equity is woven into our programs, organization, and style of working, not merely as a foundation of our work. The Orchid Room It boasts hand-blown artisan glass chandeliers and a magnificent view of the downtown Seattle metropolitan skyline, Mt. Rainier, Bainbridge Island, and the Olympic Mountains, and is located west of Palisade's main dining room. The Orchid Room can seat up to 80 people for a sit-down function and up to 150 people for a reception. Alani Room The Alani Room, which is distinct from our main restaurant, provides complete seclusion with its own entrance, tented patio area (during the summer months), built-in dance floor, separate kitchen and bar facilities, and stunning marina-level views.   My Little White House

  Bring your vision to life in My Little White House, an ideal setting for styled shoots, portrait photography, and other intimate events in addition to other possibilities. My Little White House is a 170 square foot boutique up-cycled studio that is located in a private garden in the West Seattle neighborhood of West Seattle. It was built primarily out of salvaged materials and vintage finds. The Little White House is a little studio that I built out of reclaimed materials and things that I found in dumpsters. It is 170 square feet in size. I didn't even consider constructing a white house or a small house when I came up with the idea. Simply put, I desired a location where I could build a fire during the colder months... Initially, it was only 10 feet by 10 feet, but over time, it expanded, the ceilings got higher, and it evolved into what it is today... People are drawn to the White House, in my opinion, due to the fact that a lot of its furnishings were salvaged from dumpsters or were things that previous owners had thrown away because they no longer wanted them. I believe that the Little White House breathes new life into all of those things in some sense... At the very least, that is what compelled me to construct it. It was the concept of turning things that were thrown away into something attractive and intriguing by giving them a second life in the form of something else entirely.

  The Center for Urban Horticulture is a 16-acre landscaped campus of the University of Washington Botanic Gardens, established in 1984 alongside the adjoining 74-acre Union Bay Natural Area, an ecological restoration laboratory where more than 200 bird species have been documented. Its buildings sit within display gardens and greenhouses used for horticultural research and education. At the center of the campus, Merrill Hall was the first certified "green building" on the UW Seattle campus and houses the Center's administrative offices, the Elisabeth C. Miller Library, and the Otis Douglas Hyde Herbarium. The Center rents both indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings, mitzvahs, memorials, conferences, and retreats, accommodating groups of 20 to 200 guests indoors and up to 350 outdoors. NHS Hall, the Center's main reception venue, can be divided into three sections and opens onto McVay Courtyard, while the adjoining glass-enclosed Merrill Commons serves as supplementary space for dining, breakout sessions, and dancing.
