Kimball Hall, a historic two story Queen Anne house dating from the 1880’s, presents the picture perfect setting for a romantic wedding rich in Southern tradition. The buffet room of our charming farmhouse opens into a lovely modern ballroom made almost totally of floor to ceiling windows. The ballroom’s French doors overlook the ancient Oak tree with its charming swing, which is listed on the Historic Tree Register. The Shamrock Community Use Building is a rental facility operated by the Clayton County Water Authority, set in the woods between Blalock Reservoir and Shamrock Lake in Jonesboro, Georgia. The building accommodates up to 200 guests and has been the setting for events ranging from wedding receptions to professional conferences. The great room is designed to adapt to a variety of functions, with a commercial-grade kitchen and restrooms at one end. A finished basement and a loft area overlook the great room, while wrap-around decks and two covered porches offer views of the surrounding reservoirs. The setting combines natural scenery with flexible indoor space, making it a practical choice for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.

Building the first component of what would eventually become Naylor Hall for H.W. Proudfoot and his wife, Euphemia, in the 1840s, Barrington King designed it as a four-room clapboard house with a central fireplace, which was later expanded. Mr. Proudfoot was engaged as an accountant by Mr. King, the son of the city of Roswell's founder, in his recently constructed Roswell Mills facility. Colonel Harrison Broadwell acquired the property in the late 1930s and renamed it Naylor Hall in honor of his wife's family, which is still the name of the building today. Aside from that, he made a number of changes that may still be seen today, including the columns, carved woodwork, and a portico that wraps around the original structure. Naylor Hall is still making history today, well into the twenty-first century, with each and every event that takes place on Canton Street. Roberts exchanged wedding vows with Emma Quillian, daughter of the Reverend J. C. B. Quillian. Reverend Quillian was one of the early settlers of Douglas County, and the property’s original owner. After the death of Reverend Quillian, Colonel Roberts bought the land from his mother-in-law and work on the two-story Neoclassical home began March 21, 1901.
