Weston Gardens features a number of showcase gardens that date back to the 1930s and 1940s. In the beginning, Leon and Peggy Bandy created them as a personal estate for themselves. Before the invention of air conditioning, the whole layout of the gardens was planned with outdoor recreation in mind. Travel back in time to Fort Worth, which was said to be a place where "everyone who was anyone" used to hang out and dance on the rock ship or sunbathe by the stream. Weston Gardens is a contemporary take on the traditional English garden, and it's perfect for a couple. The gardens' convenient location in the middle of Fort Worth, near the intersection of 820 and Anglin, making it an ideal location for weddings and other events. You will feel as though you have traveled back in time when you visit Weston Gardens, a private estate that was constructed in the 1920s and 1930s. The Heritage Farmstead Museum (HFM) is the main living history site in North Texas portraying the Texas Blackland Prairie region. It is located on a working farm. The HFM, which is certified by the American Alliance of Museums, aspires to provide a glimpse into the past for individuals of all ages, interests, and origins. The museum is a public service institution, and it is held responsible to the public by government, self-imposed, and peer-imposed rules and regulations. The mission of the Heritage Farmstead Museum is to collect, conserve, and explain the history of the Blackland Prairie during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries while making proper use of the authentically restored Farrell-Wilson Farmstead, which is a recognized historic site. A cozy, two-bedroom cabin, hidden away from the rest of the property, is the perfect place for wedding party prep. The Chapel, which was meticulously re-crafted from the wood of a 1908 church, is nestled among towering oak, cedar elm, bois d’arc and cedar trees. We provide everything you need for a memorable and special occasion, whether it's a wedding, corporate meeting, graduation, birthday, or anniversary party. Stone Crest® is a 60' x 120' reception hall with beautiful surrounds, elaborate features, and substantial reclaimed wood for a lodge-like feel. Bring 30 or 275 of your closest friends or family members; whatever your guest list requirements are, we can accommodate you. No of the occasion, your whole guest list and all honorees will like our breathtaking landscapes and exquisite décor. You also have the option of selecting your own vendors in Stone Crest. Josh Brehmar was the source of our lovely barn wood (contact info below). He's located in Texas, but he traverses the country in search of barns with history and character. One of the barns used to be a dance club, which is hilarious because it gets to continue providing entertainment for over a century... Stone Crest is what it is now.
