TIWA is a cultural event space and gallery in the heart of New York's historic Tribeca neighborhood. SPACE: The Main Gallery space overlooking historic Walker Street is a clean slate allowing for a variety of uses, specifically private dinners, cocktail receptions, talks, presentations, and exhibitions. The Rear Gallery, which houses an extensive library of art books and lounge seating, allows for an extension of the Main Gallery, or for a separate gathering space that provides staging, back of house, or a meeting area. GALLERY: Celebrating the blurred line between art and design, and the ever-evolving culture of craft, TIWA Select is a platform and gallery space engaging with artists and makers who share an affinity for the unexpectedness of the handmade. Largely self-taught with the ability to work with locally-sourced materials, collaborators draw on traditional practices in their craft — but always as an embodied interpretation of their time, environment, and culture. Their works are tethered to their personal stories, elevating everyday functional objects as artifacts of human experience. Mezze On The River, a distinctive and exciting addition to the Downtown restaurant scene in New York City that serves shared mezze platters together with fresh seafood and beautiful seasonal drinks created by a committed mixology staff, was inspired by a trip to Oia, Santorini. The compact restaurant room that was previously John Dory is now a pizzeria: Mel's, the first restaurant of a new culinary complex here, squeezed snuggly to one side of the former Del Posto. Melissa J. Rodriguez, a former Del Posto and Daniel chef, is teaming up with Jeff Katz and James Kent of Crown Shy and Saga to create this enormous location. While its finely calibrated lighting will keep it "glowy and sensual," it will also be the kind of restaurant you can pop into just because you're hungry and it's Tuesday. Mel's is warmly decorated with orange tones and polished light wood, with a bar and dining counter that open into a back dining area and a massive wood-fired pizza oven in the center. Ms. Rodriguez explained, "Everything is cooked with wood. There’s no gas here." The pizzas begin with a Margherita base but quickly branch out to include mushrooms, smoked mozzarella, and sliced shallots, as well as kale, basil pesto, ricotta, and preserved lemon. Wood-fired dishes include roasted parsnips with robiola cheese, roasted maitake mushrooms with soppressata piccante, and charred shrimp, as well as major courses such as entire fish, whole roasted cauliflower, and strip steak. Dessert is not an afterthought or something to forego at this pizzeria. Consider a milk chocolate gelato with a dark chocolate sable swirl, salted caramel and fior di latte gelato with caramel sauce and shortbread crumble, or a Little Italy-inspired Italian rainbow cookie hot fudge sundae. The restaurant features the distinctive Tucci touch across two levels of dining. The main floor boasts intimate handcrafted banquets, velvet drapes and floor-to-ceiling windows, making the perfect atmosphere for a sublime evening. The lower level dining and cocktail lounge has brick and stone arches dating back to the 1800s, as well as a massive, exquisite handmade bar to complement specially curated cocktails and private dining areas that resemble Tuscan wine cellars. Located on Pier 41 in the historic shipping yards of Red Hook, Brooklyn, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The building, which was built prior to the Civil War in the 1850s, has recently been transformed into a charming event space. The location, which is directly on the water's edge, provides spectacular views of New York Harbor. The Liberty Warehouse is the only location in the entire city of New York where the Statue of Liberty is displayed face forward, as she gazes toward France. It is a truly unique location that must be experienced in person to be fully appreciated. It can accommodate up to 400 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 1200 people for cocktails. Two large event rooms with large windows that face due west provide spectacular sunset views are available for rental. Two smaller rooms that are ideal for indoor ceremonies, small gatherings, and cocktail parties. Special performances are staged in this area. All of the event rooms have working wood-burning fireplaces. There are 15,000 square feet of space at the Liberty Warehouse, which includes a wonderful waterside promenade that provides glamorous panoramic views of New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, and the Verrazano bridge. Our bridal suite is fully equipped for the bride and her bridal party to get ready for the big day as well as take beautiful photographs! There is covered valet parking available. Amidst the cozy, intimate, moodily-lit “Tudor Hacienda” décor, Chef de Cuisine Victor Santibanez (in collaboration with Executive Chef Brad Warner) has crafted an upscale Mexican menu designed for sharing with small plates such as fresh ceviches, tacos and salads, as well as more generously proportioned dishes like Roasted Chile Rellano, Lamb Barbacoa Tacos and Carne Asade. We have chairs, white board, screen, projector, WIFI.
