The Merchant's House Museum is New York City's only family home to survive intact — inside and out — from the 19th century. Built in 1832 in the late-Federal and Greek Revival style, the Manhattan rowhouse carries triple landmark designation at the federal, state, and city levels, including National Historic Landmark status since 1966. It was the first building designated under New York City's 1965 Landmarks Preservation Law and remains one of only six residential interior landmarks in the city. The Tredwell family occupied the residence from 1835 until 1933, and more than 3,000 of their original belongings remain in place. The museum is also recognized as Manhattan's only documented site of the Underground Railroad open to the public. For private events, the venue accommodates up to 30 guests for intimate wedding ceremonies, garden elopements, and engagement photography sessions. The 19th-century rear garden serves as the primary ceremony setting; the Greek Revival double parlor and 1850s kitchen provide indoor alternatives when weather requires.

When il Buco first opened its doors in 1994 as a rustic antique store on NoHo's cobblestoned Bond Street, the restaurant quickly rose to become one of the city's most beloved destinations. Donna Lennard and her then-partner, Italian-born restaurateur Alberto Avalle, were pioneers on Bond Street when they invited their antique customers to join them for their midday "pranzo" before obtaining a wine and beer license and developing an eclectic Mediterranean menu that was equal parts Italian, Spanish, and invention, and dedicated to sourcing the finest prime ingredients both locally and in Avalle's home country of Italy. The culinary philosophy of il Buco is firmly rooted in the Italian tradition of seasonality and the integrity of all of the ingredients used in the restaurant. Our cuisine is influenced by both the motherland of Italy and the Iberian Peninsula. We found a perfect cozy space at the end of an unused alley off the Bowery in the fall of 2004, and Freemans Restaurant was born. The restaurant's concept was to create a rough, secretive colonial American tavern. Early Americans imagined the cuisine to be simple, rustic, and inspired by Old World traditions. We've held everything from weddings and birthday parties to movie premieres, luncheons, wrap parties, bridal showers, and business dinners over the years. For seated dinner parties or cocktail celebrations, Freemans has three private rooms available. The entire second floor, including the drawing room, or the entire restaurant, can be rented for groups of 30 to 200 people. Our intimate working wine cellar provides an exceptional eating environment. In your own private wine cellar, seats 10-12 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner. In an elegant 2nd floor dining room, the Blue Room seats 13-20 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner, or up to 30 guests for a cocktail reception. Our largest single private room is the Red Room on the second floor. In an attractive 2nd floor dining room, seats 20-30 guests for a sit-down lunch or supper, or up to 40 guests for a cocktail reception. Pellegrino Artusi (1820-1911) and his self-published cookbook La Scienza in Cucina e L'Arte di Mangiare Bene are honored at L'Artusi, which opened in December 2008. (The Science of Cookery and the Art of Eating Well). L'Artusi combines comfort and innovation in a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine. Our wine list is primarily Italian, and is organized by area with a map showing DOCs and DOCGs, as well as traditional local meals, to assist demystify Italy, the world's most diversified viticultural nation. Our 110-seat restaurant has two levels of comfy banquette seating, an extended classic bar, a cheese bar, and a chef's counter with an open view of the kitchen. L'Artusi can accommodate groups of 10 to 110 people in its intimate wine room, second-floor mezzanine, or entire restaurant, making it ideal for business dinners, social gatherings, celebrations and showers, and a variety of other events. WhiteBox is a non-profit contemporary art space in Manhattan, founded in 1998 as an alternative gallery in the then-nascent Chelsea neighborhood. Over more than two decades it has relocated across the city — to the Lower East Side, East Harlem, and most recently to Alphabet City in the East Village — sustaining 27 years of uninterrupted programming along the way. The space describes itself as a radically inclusive institution with a mission to remain freely accessible to everyone, prioritizing underserved communities through exhibitions, educational programs, and participatory projects. Its calendar spans contemporary art exhibitions, performances, artist conversations, and workshops, alongside recurring initiatives such as the FireHouse Lit Lounge, a cultural-literary-performance salon. S.O.B.’s, also known as Sounds of Brazil, is a legendary live music venue in the lower Manhattan neighborhood of SoHo. It was opened by owner and director Larry Gold in June 1982. Gold opened the venue with the purpose of exposing the musical wealth and heritage of the Afro-Latino Diaspora to as many people as possible. Main Dining Room The Main Dining Room at Tribeca Grill is the restaurant's center point, and it has a sleek industrial warehouse feel to it. An ancient mahogany bar from the legendary "Maxwell's Plum," exposed brick walls, and artwork by the late Robert De Niro, Sr. adorn the space. Cocktail parties for up to 350 people or a formal dinner for 175 people can be held in the whole Dining Room. Arrangements can be made to reserve the full Tribeca Grill Duplex for groups of up to 500 people. This allows you to have dancing, food, and beverages all at the same time during your event. Loft The Loft is a bright, open room on the second story with beautiful hardwood flooring, 15-foot ceilings, and exposed brick walls. It also has its own entrance and private facilities. It is a dynamic space that can be dressed up for elegance or down for a fun, laid-back vibe. Although the room can hold up to 120 people for a formal dinner, the design is also suitable for smaller gatherings of 30 people or receptions of 175. The Loft can be used for gallery exhibitions, fashion events, corporate presentations, and even in conjunction with the adjacent screening room. Gallery Breakfast meetings, business luncheons and dinners, birthday celebrations, wine evenings, and a variety of other social occasions are all possible in this private, light, and intimate space. The space can hold up to 40 people for a formal function, but it is also suitable for 20-person board meetings. The Gallery provides a wonderful environment for all your entertainment needs, whether it is in the day or evening. Screening Room The Tribeca Screening Room is a state-of-the-art THX certified screening room located next to the Loft. Our cutting-edge digital cinema projection and film equipment can accommodate Power Point, laser disc, HD presentations, and 16-mm film for mixed media presentations.
