Come in and have a look around, make yourself at home, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a fairy tale setting. This mansion, built by the family of Mesa's first mayor, Alexander MacDonald, is a sentimental tribute to Mesa's history and antiquity. Alexander passed this house down to his son, James, in keeping with the family history of strong morals. He and his wife had nine children, which was more than enough to occupy the house. The residence was given the name James A. MacDonald House when it applied for the appropriate permissions to build an extension, marking the beginning of its documented history.

Moon Flower Hill is a 15-acre private estate and event venue set above Lake Travis in Volente, Texas, approximately 30 minutes northwest of downtown Austin. Ancient oak groves shade rolling lawns that give way to panoramic water views, creating an unhurried backdrop for weddings, corporate retreats, milestone celebrations, and multi-day gatherings. The property hosts one event at a time, granting exclusive use of the full estate across three primary spaces: Luna Manor, a 6,000-square-foot manor with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that accommodates up to 90 seated guests for indoor ceremonies and receptions; the Pavilion, a 3,600-square-foot covered outdoor structure beneath mature oaks that seats up to 250; and the Veranda, a covered outdoor living area anchored by a grand fireplace and stone seating. You will get full access to the two-acre private estate, including the garden areas and courtyard, as well as the indoor grand ballroom and bridal suites, while renting the venue. We only host one event at a time, so you won't have to worry about the property being divided or your special day being shared with anybody else!
