The La Cañada Thursday Club, a beautiful, historic gem of a property, is located in the heart of La Cañada Flintridge. Built in 1926, the facility has been the setting for many wedding celebrations and other special events. The clubhouse has many amenities, including a ballroom with an elevated stage, tea room, bridal suite, and kitchen. The outdoor courtyard is a private walled area that has arched wrought iron gates, a large fountain, a majestic oak tree, and a mature garden. The venue accommodates up to 130 guests and has a private, spacious parking lot. Facilities and Capacity The secluded courtyard is a perfect location for your ceremony—a floral pergola arches over the gate and provides a colorful background for the moment you both say ‘I do’. Rows of seats can be set out for your guests to watch. Here, a Spanish-tiled water fountain, paving, flower beds, and shade-providing trees all combine to create a beautiful walled-garden effect. The courtyard can also be arranged to host your reception. In setting out round tables, chairs, centerpieces, cutlery, and plates, it becomes a beautiful place to experience al fresco dining. It also provides a marvelous backdrop for a stunning photoshoot. The clubhouse offers an impeccably designed interior space with a ballroom, buffet space, and kitchen. With exposed ceiling beams, round tables, candelabra chandeliers, and amber uplighting all around, the ballroom embodies romance. For the couple’s first dance, space can easily be cleared in the ballroom or everyone can make their way outdoors as the newlyweds sway under the stars above them. Services Offered Conveniently, La Cañada Thursday Club's staff are willing to welcome outside vendors on site so that you can add your own character to the scene. The venue handles all your rental needs—tables, chairs, linens, and much more. They are also more than happy to offer vendor referrals for caterers and other preferred vendors. Although couples and their guests can provide their own alcohol, staff can be made available to serve drinks. Other Services The wedding party can have access to the venue for 10 hours. This includes a podium, piano, furniture, lighting for the courtyard, and a bridal suite. What’s more, to add to the comforting surroundings, La Cañada Thursday Club has heating and air-conditioning, preparing it for all types of weather.

Every day and in so many ways, the L.A. Zoo offers meaningful opportunities for discovery, education, and inspiration. #LAZooLove Rainforest of the Americas is the Zoo's newest state-of-the-art exhibit, transporting guests to a tropical rainforest full of life. From the treetops to the rivers, creatures are crawling, flying, slithering, hiding, sleeping, and living. Detailed sculptures, educational graphics, and architectural elements create an immersive experience for guests, while specific animal highlights include amazing critters from piranhas and giant otters, to harpy eagles and jaguars. The Elephants of Asia habitat includes features that are dedicated to the health and welfare of the elephants, such as bathing pools, sandy hills, varied topography, enrichment opportunities, and a state of the art barn that is capable of caring for elephants of all ages. Elephants of Asia focuses on the rich connection between elephants and the cultures of Thailand, India, China, and Cambodia. The exhibit familiarizes guests with the challenges Asian elephants face in the wild, including their shrinking natural habitat, and gives visitors the opportunity to directly contribute to conservation programs that support elephants in their native countries. The LAIR (currently closed during Phase 1 of the Zoo's reopening) encompasses several visually stunning areas that include habitats for various unique and endangered species. Over 60 species of amphibians, invertebrates, and reptiles are represented in this assortment of living jewels. Each habitat is beautifully themed with hand-painted murals of damp and misty forests, rainforest canopies, red rock formations, mountain ranges and vistas, and dry arid deserts to exemplify the natural environments of the many diverse species.

Overview Despite being only two stories tall and dwarfed by its surroundings, this dazzling black-and-gold terra cotta building with zigzag modern ornamentation commands attention despite its small size. Morgan, Walls, and Clements, one of the oldest continuously operating architectural firms on the West Coast and a driving force in the development of various forms of revival and moderne architecture in Los Angeles, designed the building. A notable feature of the structure is that it is one of the city's last remaining black-and-gold Art Deco structures, and that it is a scaled-down version of the firm's downtown Richfield building (built in 1928; demolished in 1968). It was originally constructed as a neighborhood branch bank, and it served in this capacity until 1970. The building was originally used as a restaurant/nightclub, and it was later converted into a Christian center. After years of disrepair, the building was beautifully restored and converted into short- and long-term creative office space for rent. It is also available for private parties and special events.

The glass-domed Promenade Atrium, with sweeping views of the scenic waterfront and downtown skyline is available for pre-functions, receptions and special events. Other pre-function and special event areas include the outdoor Promenade Plaza, Terrace Lobby & Plaza, Pacific Gallery & Patio, Pacific Room and the Top of the Lot. The Palm Sophia Rooftop is a beautiful and sophisticated event and filming area that is located in the middle of Culver City. The neighboring main room has the privilege of having forty percent of its walls and glass doors that can fully accordion away to connect to fresh air for your comfort. In addition, we have a huge outdoor area and a rooftop space (can also be closed). The breathtaking rooftop is the crown gem of our three-story structure that has a total of 17,000 square feet of flexible creative space. We are happy to accommodate filming and photography shoots, in addition to providing a full-service event department for pop-up shops, weddings, mitzvahs, religious ceremonies, birthday parties, and corporate as well as entertainment events of any size. In addition to this, one of our primary focuses is catering to the needs of our religious community for religious events. Large-scale gatherings are well within our capabilities. In addition, we like playing host to filmmaking and picture shoots. In addition, we offer planning and design services for weddings and other events (outside planners are always welcome).

Our studio and design center, which was originally located in downtown Austin, Texas, has now moved to a location just a few blocks from Venice Beach. As landscape and garden designers, we offer a wide range of services to commercial and residential clients. We also create interior and exterior commissions, floral and plant arrangements for special events, and boutique gathering and event spaces in both Venice, California, and Austin, Texas. Owner and principal designer, Selena Souders, along with her team of designers and construction crew, create and implement a variety of extraordinary landscape, hardscape, and gardening solutions for both residential and commercial spaces, starting with the initial design concept. The talents and experiences of our team are pooled together, and our work incorporates elements of philosophy, architecture, field botany, welding, floral design, and stone carving. Our magical oasis on Rose Avenue in Venice is fully stocked with a wide variety of signature vessels, plantings, succulents, and home/garden accessories to suit any style or budget.
