What was once the first Chinese Opera House on the East Coast now houses contemporary Chinese restaurant, Chinese Tuxedo, and lively cocktail bar, Peachy’s. The split-level space was the headquarters for Chinatown’s notorious Tong wars in the early 1900’s and has been thoughtfully restored, incorporating midcentury touches while retaining historical details such as the original pillars, stripped-down walls and now-sealed secret tunnel entryways. The kitchen executes a flavorful, eclectic Chinese Banquet style menu complemented by inventive cocktails, a dynamic wine list and a selection of Chinese and American craft beers. 5 Doyers Street is comprised of two unique spaces Chinese Tuxedo and Peachy’s. Each venue can be booked separately or together for private events. Carroll Hall is a rare and unexpected event space featuring a botanic garden in Brooklyn. We welcome all types of private events, from weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and birthday parties to art exhibits, performances, corporate functions, fundraisers and film shoots. The space encompasses a total of 10,000 square feet, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas. For indoor events, we have an open warehouse space, a skylit indoor catering room, and a private mezzanine lounge. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of our space, created as a quiet retreat among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Tucked in the back of our garden is a discreet wooden "treehouse", perfect for a quiet moment during any event. Carroll Hall and Dameron Architecture were awarded the 2022 AIA New York Design Award Citation for Reclaiming Urban Space. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our very foundation, which uses original bricks and existing ceramic brick walls from the prior warehouse structure, and most of the interior wood is reclaimed. Located downtown in the heart of Tribeca and close to all of the subways, Gran Morsi, is the perfect location for your next event! Gran Morsi named after the Italian word for “bites,” epitomizes elegant simplicity. This airy and convivial two floor Tribeca restaurant specializes in boldly-flavored italian fare with a strong focus on small and shared plates, many of which are cooked in the brick oven. Gran Morsi provides both downtown Manhattan residents and visitors with a dining experience and event space fit for whatever they’re in the mood for, whether it’s a special occasion celebration, a casual event with friends, or an intimate evening. We have several packages to choose from, all of which are customizable. Our events team will work with you to create the ideal menu for any event you’re planning. At Gran Morsi, we host a variety of events, including 1st birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, corporate dinners, cocktail parties, wedding ceremonies, receptions, group lunches, brunches, rehearsal dinners, we do it all! Our private event space accommodates about 125 guests seated and 175 guests standing. For smaller events of 20 guests and up, we are able to make to the private event space more intimate. We have elevator access for any guests who may need it. Complete with a large living green wall, the space exudes a romantic, intimate yet inviting energy. Our main floor space accommodates 90 guests seated and 120 guests standing, and is available for buyouts. Both of our floors contain a private bar, sound system, and three individual restrooms. For larger events we are able to open both floors for events and we are able to accommodate 200 guests seated, or 300 guests standing. All of our events come complete with a dedicated staff for the duration of the event to ensure the utmost attention.

Our two-story, state-of-the-art new home, designed by nationally recognized theater architects Auerbach Consultants, consists of a theater, a visual arts gallery, dressing rooms, a lobby, and office space in an adaptable-use facility. Our flexible theater has up to 97 seats (110 for a comedy configuration) and can be cleared to be used as an event venue for 200. Our lobby and gallery can hold up to 125. The venue comes equipped with state-of-the-art technical and production resources, a designated box office, 2 dressing rooms, a green room, and a top-notch administrative team to help bring your vision to life. Art House Productions is a dynamic multidisciplinary arts organization based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
